2016 ANNUAL MEETING

The 2016 Albuquerque Chapter meeting was held in Santa Fe on Friday, April 22, 2016. There was a full-day agenda, including a short course on 'Propensity Scores' by Dr. Lane Burgette in the morning and a business meeting and short talks presented by chapter members in the afternoon. 2015 ANNUAL MEETING

The 2015 Albuquerque Chapter meeting was held in Santa Fe on Friday, April 17, 2015. There was a full-day agenda, including a business meeting and short talks presented by Chapter members. In addition, three students were inducted into the honor society Mu Sigma Rho. For details see the full agenda.



2014 ANNUAL MEETING

The 2014 Albuquerque Chapter meeting was held in Santa Fe on Tuesday, October 14. The highlight of the meeting was a one-day short course on design and analysis of computer experiments taught by by Tom Santner of The Ohio State University and Brian Williams of Los Alamos National Laboratory.



2013 ANNUAL MEETING

The 2013 Albuquerque Chapter meeting was held in Santa Fe on Friday, September 20, 2013. There was a full-day agenda, including a business meeting and short talks presented by Chapter members. For details see the full agenda.




2012 ANNUAL MEETING

The 2012 Albuquerque Chapter meeting was held in Santa Fe on Friday, June 15, 2012. The highlight of the meeting was a one-day short course, Introduction to Monte Carlo Methods, taught by Kert Viele of Berry Consultants, LLC. The course provided an introduction to many standard Monte Carlo techniques, including Monte Carlo integration and Markov chain Monte Carlo, and was attended by over 50 people, many from outside the chapter. Many thanks to the ASA Council of Chapters for subsidizing the course registration fees significantly.



2011

The 2011 Albuquerque Chapter meeting was held on Friday, April 29 at the Hilton Hotel in Santa Fe. It included technical talks by chapter members, a short business meeting, and refreshments. The ASA Chapter Service Recognition Award was presented to Joanne Wendleberger, who was chapter president 1995-1998.

2010

The 2010 Albuquerque Chapter meeting was held on Friday, April 23 at the Hilton Hotel in Santa Fe. A short course on sequential Monte Carlo methods by Jarad Niemi (UC Santa Barbara) was the featured event.

    2007

    The 2007 Albuquerque Chapter meeting was held on October 12 at Bishop's Lodge Resort & Spa in Santa Fe.  This year's theme was the "Metrology" with guest speakers from UNM, LANL, SNL, and U of Chicago.  Kary Myers reported on the Intel Science fair and Scott Vander Wiel reported on the NM state science fair. Elections and other activities completed the meeting.

    2006

    The 2006 Albuquerque Chapter meeting was held on September 29 at Sunrise Springs in Santa Fe.  This year's theme was the "Role of the Statistician" with guest speakers representing academia, government, industry, and consulting.  Additionally, technical talks were held in the afternoon, as well as the Mu-Sigma-Rho certificate presentation, elections, and other activities.

    The 2003 Albuquerque Chapter meeting was held on April 10, 2003 at Intel in Rio Rancho. The meeting consisted of a short course given by Dr. Luis A. Escobar entitled "Statistical Methods for Reliability Data."  The course was jointly sponsored by the ASA, the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at UNM, Los Alamos National Labs, and Intel.
