The SRC brings together leading researchers, faculty and students in a dynamic, interactive and learning environment. Sponsors of the conference include ASA, NSF, NISS/SAMSI, and SAS. Bentonville, nestled in the heart of the Ozark Mountains, is home to the renowned Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, nature trails and other activities.

Program co-chairs, Eugene Huang of Emory University and Jacqueline Hughes-Oliver of North Carolina State University have lined up a stimulating program. Featured keynote speakers are Terry Therneau of the Mayo Clinic whose talk is entitled "Multi-state Models of Alzheimer's Disease" and Naisyin Wang of the University of Michigan on "Exploration and Prediction via Semiparametric Models with Latent Variables." The statistics education session focuses on visual analytics with speakers Mike Speed, PhD from the SAS Institute and Chris Nachtsheim, PhD from the University of Minnesota. This year's banquet speaker is Jim Cochran from the University of Alabama.

In addition to funds from SRCOS, funds from the ASA, NSF, SAS, and other sources are available to help partially support graduate students who participate in the NSF/Anderson Student Poster Competition and for junior or isolated faculty presenting posters in the ASA/Kutner Faculty Poster Session.  Preference for support is given to participants from SRCOS.
