Bingham Statistical Consulting

I retired in April 2013 from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) where I was employed as the Chief Biometrician for the Division of Sport Fish in Anchorage, Alaska. My primary job duties included the supervision of all research, analysis, and statistical reporting of the Biometrics Unit in the Division of Sport Fish, an integrated part of its effective program of resource management. Additional duties included the biometric review of operational plans, assisting in the design and implementation of experimental-sampling plans, population-abundance estimation techniques, computer programs, and other statistical-numerical analysis procedures used to collect or analyze the data associated with a wide variety of projects for the Division.

My educational background includes a B.S. and M.S. in Zoology from the Ohio State University, where he majored in fisheries biology, and course work towards a Ph.D. at the University of Idaho with a minor in statistics.

I am a member of the American Fisheries Society (AFS), the International Biometric Society (WNAR), and the American Statistical Association (ASA). I have served as president and secretary-treasurer, and am currently the web master for the Alaska Chapter of ASA. Also a member of the Puget Sound and Oregon Chapters of ASA.

[Currently, I am available for statistical consulting services in the fields of fisheries and environmental research and management. My business (Bingham Statistical Consulting) is currently licensed to do business in the states of Washington and Alaska, as a sole proprietorship.]
